Hello All,

Daryll Stewart, a gentle spirit with a big heart and a love for God is in dire need of your financial assistance.   Daryll has gone through quite a bit of challenges the past five years with health issues which include congestive heart failure, diabetes, and severe joint pain in his shoulder and both hips.  After surgery and the many health issues he has accumulated medical bills in excess of $350,000.   He has been in and out of the hospital for stays which have exceeded six weeks plus.   While he is in the hospital, bills are piling up that cannot be paid.  This weighs heavily on his heart and he now has to ask for help. Upon release of the hospital the last time his roof caved in and he cannot afford to fix it.

Daryll is the epitome of Christian manhood.   He is a true blue friend to all who have passed his way from high school to present day. For the past nine years, he has been a member of Austin Oaks Church in Austin, Texas.   His examples of kindness and being a friend in need and in deed include: being a protector and defender of his high school buddy Ms. Janice Robinson who had been abandoned by her mother as noted below, serving as a role model for juveniles while working as an educator for the Travis County Gardner-Betts Juvenile Justice Facility for seven years, and serving as vice president for the Amateur Organization of Karate Executive Committee in charge of the Rules and Referees Committee, and Third Coast Martial Arts Association.

Daryll has worked all of his adult life and been productive pillar of his community.  He has been an entrepreneur with his DJ entertainment business for 42 plus years. He began his business in 1975 while in high school which helped the Austin Public Schools in its transition from segregation to integration.   It was Vice Principal Joe Leonard who asked Daryll to play some music during lunchtime to calm the kids down and prevent folks from fighting one another.   This request evolved into his own deejay business.   He has provided great entertainment services for special events such as weddings, father/daughter dances, Quinceneras, retirement parties, family reunions, etc.   Daryll always gives back to the community with in-kind deejay services to senior groups such as Heritage Pointe Retirement Living Center, his local church, other churches in the community, and for family and friends.

Testimonials:

God of Hope Ministry - Robert and Sharon Dorrough – “Daryll has donated time and equipment help them in establishing their prison ministry”.

Don and Randa Schnorr  -  “We have been friends with Daryll since 1988.   Our friendship began when was he was our karate instructor at Texas Instruments. When my husband Don had his heart surgery four years ago, Daryll took me back and forth to visit my husband while he was in the hospital for a week.   This was due to the fact that I am unable to drive.  Daryll made it possible for me to see my husband during that critical time. It meant a lot to because I don’t have any family here in Austin”.

Janice Robinson, Reagan High School friend – “When I was in high school, I couldn't walk down the halls without getting beat up. I had been abandoned by my mother and placed in a home for girls called Girlstown U.S.A.  Because of this when I attended public school I was one of those girls that got picked on.  I was alone, scared, and hated going to school. The girls from Girlstown (the home) were targeted and made fun of.  But I had my own precious angel who did not like people messing with me, Daryll Stewart.  He walked me to every class and up and down those halls and kept me safe. Please pray for him for his health to be restored”.

Arlene Youngblood, McCallum High School friend – “Daryll and I befriended one another while participating in Speech Club during our high school days. We went separate ways after graduation and rekindled the friendship while at a funeral for a dear friend.   He is always kind, dependable, and compassionate.   And when you are in a jam - just call Daryll. On Friday, June 17, 2016, I was in a pickle of a situation.   I had just started a contract job with the City of Austin - Affordable Housing and had to facilitate at meeting at Huston-Tillotson University.  I was on schedule getting ready and when I pushed the garage door button, the door did not go up.  The car is staring at me and the garage door is still down.  And I said to myself "Who do I call?"   The Lord said "Call Daryll."  Keep in mind, my buddy had a doctor's appointment that morning and was not feeling good but he made time to help me.  I made on time to my meeting.  President Colette  Pierce-Burnette and her staff got a good laugh out of the garage door not going up.  My high school buddy saved the day.  I appreciate Daryll's willingness to help me in my time of need.   He is a true- blue friend”.

As you can see this is a good human being. He cares for his mother’s needs as well as she is in need of hip surgery.  He can barely take care of himself yet he still gives.  He needs some of the love he has given to others for himself now.   He is desperate need of the help of others now. WE have established this Go-Fund Me Page to help Daryll through his tribulations. His bills and the hole in his roof are not helpful for his recovery and maintaining his health.  Every bit would help no matter how big or small to help Daryll chisel away these bills.   Please let us reach out and support Daryll through his trials as he has done for so many over the years. No man is an island.  God bless each and every one of you.
