Daryn's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
On his way home from a weekly bike ride, our friend Daryn Goff was seriously hurt while crossing Roselle & King St, in a hit and run accident by an unidentified car.
Daryn fractured his skull, broke his collarbone, and lost his bike in the accident. He was laying in the road hurt and alone 100 feet from his home for several minutes before passersby called authorities and saved his life.
Daryn is safe and recovering in the hospital, but is in serious pain. Doctors are monitoring his condition over the next several days while they determine the best path forward for healing.
Daryn uses his body to work and to play, and being hurt in this way prevents him from making money and enjoying himself like the rest of us can.
To know Daryn is to love him. I know I do. If you can spare anything to help him get back on his feet and on two wheels, please consider donating. When he is discharged from the ICU, this money will allow him to rest, buy groceries, and stay comfortable for a month while he recovers outside of the hospital.
Daryn lives a simple life, and from what we can tell he will have to rest for several weeks or possibly months after being discharged from the hospital. This is my breakdown of costs:
-$350 monthly rent
-$250 monthly grocery and food bill
-$250+ monthly medical bill payments (this is the scary one)
...Which means that every $800 is a verrrrry basic monthly cost of living for Daryn, not including incidentals and accidents. THANK YOU so far for your donations and words of support, and let's keep going for our friend Daryn!
Many thanks,
