Dashawn Strong

Dashawn Thompson came to Solar States through the recommendation of Spencer Wright, Solar States' Chief Education Officer. Immediately Dashawn made a huge impact with the Solar States team by always showing up on time, working hard, and demonstrating a real love for and genuine interest in solar. More importantly, he quickly became friends with everyone and was a natural addition to the Solar States family. As the weeks turned to months it became clear that Dashawn was on his way to being a leader at Solar States and in the solar industry. He just loved what was doing. Then tragedy struck. On the night of Sunday Oct. 4th while trying to assist a woman who was being threatened by another man Dashawn was shot multiple times. He had to endure multiple trips in and out of surgery but through his strong sprit and thirst for life he survived. However, he has a long road to recovery in front of him. Dashawn's future is still bright but he could use help until he is back on his feet and back where his work passion lies, installing solar.
