Data Girl Scholarship: Data Education
Donation protected
Hi There!
My name is Ashley, and I'm a small business owner who aims to uplift and provide data enthusiasts with the tools and resources to enhance their data awareness in the workplace and their business goals.
Despite the rise of job losses resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for technology and data roles continued to be in need. While the demand is expected to grow, research reports people from historically underrepresented backgrounds and women are not supported in these fields. In the hopes to combat this need, my business was severely impacted by the amount of support it could provide in person due to cancellations for in-person training sessions, workshops, and reduced sponsorships due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Between this time, my business has found alternatives to pivot and support data enthusiasts via remote training sessions and creating a data apparel and accessories line.
As we continue to rebuild and face the challenges of the pandemic, I ask your support in helping us equip more people to become more data literate by covering the costs of a data certification or career resources with the aid of the Data Girl Scholarship. We are ecstatic that we raised $1,000 in 2021, and strive to raise $1,000 in 2022. We hope to exceed our goal with you and the support of the GoFundMe Small Business Initiative that will match us at $500 to assist with our business expenses.
BONUS: You can also support the cause by purchasing data-inspired merchandise and accessories, where a portion of proceeds goes to this scholarship; click here to order your items.
All donations and support are much appreciated!
Cheers,
Ashley
