How would you like to be part of the 2018 Wilke Racing Chili Bowl team? Well now is your chance in a effort to raise awareness and help raise funding for our Disabled American Veterians (DAV) we are offering you the fans an oppertunity to be part of our team and help make a difference in a Veterians life. For a donation as little as $25 you can get your name included on Katlynn Leers Wilke Racing #11 Chili Bowl Ride! Half of your donation will go directly to the DAV (Disabled American Veterians) and the other half will help fund the creation of the wrap it self, with all remaining funds going towards the costs incured to give Katlynn the best oppertunity to have a great run at the 2018 Chili Bowl. Many of these costs will include Tires, fuel, Travel, Lodging ect. For those fans who wish to donate more then the $25 we will offer incentives listed below. This is a great oppertunity for you the fan to not only help an amazing organization, but to be involved with a team knowing that your support is helping Katlynn continue to persue her dreams and goals.
Who is Wilke Racing?
The Wilke family name is synonymous with American racing history, dating back to the 1930s.
The Wilke family has a historic racing past, with involvement in Indy Car, Silver Crown and Midget racing, including three Indianapolis 500 wins 1959, 1962 & 1968 and six Indy Car Series Car Owner Championships.
The Wilke Family has over 275 feature win in five decades of racing. This doesn’t include feature wins from 1939-1948. Sadly little record keeping and statistics were recorded during this time of the sport, an exact victory count is unavailable, but sources say it’s in the hundreds.
The Wilke Family also holds the record for most feature wins in USAC history, 134.
Wilke-Pak Motorsports ranks fourth in all-time USAC Midget Series feature wins.
Wilke-Pak Motorsports has earned four USAC National Midget Car Owner Championships along with six BMARA Midget Car Owner Championships
2007 Wilke-Pak Motorsports took home the USAC Mopar Midget National Owners Championship, scoring 10 total feature wins. Wilke-Pak swept both nights of the 2007 Mopar Belleville Midget Nationals, held at the famed Belleville High banks in Belleville, Kansas, and also took home the title in the third annual “Indiana Midget Week Championship.” Drivers Kasey Kahne, Dave Darland, Josh Wise & Jerry Coons Jr. drove the Wilke-Pak midgets at the 2007 Chili Bowl Nationals, all four drivers are past USAC National Midget Champions.
2005 Wilke-Pak Motorsports captured the USAC National Midget Car Owners Championship. The team scored a total of six feature wins in 2005 including the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, the team also earned the $10,000 Mopar Challenge Bonus, utilizing Mopar power.
What is the DAV?
DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year. The organization provides more than 670,000 rides for veterans attending medical appointments and assists veterans with more than 292,000 benefit claims annually. In 2016, DAV helped attain more than $4 billion in new and retroactive benefits to care for veterans, their families and survivors.
