Dave and Kathy Tanner

Hello Everyone,

I am sure you have heard by this time that Dave Tanner was just recently diagnosed with cancer. Although that is scary within itself this past weekend Dave was feeling worse and worse. Upon the EMS taking him to the hospital he immediately went into emergency surgery for a perforation within his stomach. As you may already know during this time he was in septic shock due to the stomach acids leaking into his system. Dave is currently in Petoskey, on a ventilator and very very sick. It is touch and go. Anyone that knows the Tanners already knows they would give the shirt off their back for anyone at anytime. All of this has been a huge set back for them. Prior to this weekend Dave had several co pays for testing and the specialist. One conversation I had with Kathy prior to his test is they wanted $300 co pay to do the test. They had to set up a payment plan because in all honesty with things the way they are in the world right now who has an extra $300 laying around! That was just for one test!! Now with him being hospitalized Kathy has to have money for gas to get back and forth and other things that wouldn’t be a worry if he was home. I am asking that everyone come together and make a difference for this family to get through this. Gas, co pays, prescription cost and food should not even be a worry for them at this time. I am confident that we can help them and take away any financial concerns, so that Dave can get better and Kathy doesn’t have to worry about the little things! We all can make a difference whether it be $1 or a share of the fundraiser.

Pray for strength for both of these two and for the Doctors to get the sepsis under control and Dave off the ventilator and recovering. Then we battle the cancer!
