Dave and Leann Recovery Fund

As many of you know Dave and Leann were in a horrific motorcycle accident on Friday May 8th. Both of them are at Harbor View with very serious injuries.  Leann has already made it through one extensive surgery earlier this morning and we are pleased she is talking and breathing on her own. She will be going in for major facial reconstruction surgery Sunday morning to repair several more fractures. Dave is awake and out from his surgery where they repaired his fractured femur and other leg injuries.  He is still being monitored in the ICU for his severe rib fractures.

These two great people have spent many hours of their time raising money for several charities and can always be counted on whenever asked to step up and help those in need.  Now it’s our turn to show them how powerful our community can be and how much love we have for them.

Dave and Leann will have a long road ahead for recovery and we all know even the best medical coverage won’t cover the costs involved for the surgeries and bills they are likely to accrue. The plan for these funds raised is to help assist them with anything needed to transition them to getting home whether it be equipment needed or in home care service and anything in between. Of course also used for any medical bills it will cover as well.

I have coordinated with their immediate family to get this going and have their support.
