Help for Lisa

I write this today with a heavy heart. On Wednesday, October 5th, there was a fire in our parents’ home where mom, Lisa Schenk-Ford, was inside on oxygen. Her oxygen tank exploded, and she was trapped in her bed. They life-flighted her to OSU Medical Center, where she has been receiving treatment, but her prognosis isn’t good. The doctors tell us she isn’t going to make it.
This has been the most painful thing we’ve ever been through, and the coming days and weeks will continue to be difficult. We are trying to raise some funds to help Dad with some medical bills, fire damages, and time off work as we don’t want to leave mom’s side.
If you don’t personally know our mother, let me tell you just a little about her. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She has a heart of gold, and she is the best wife, mother, and grandma. She cooked a darn good rack of ribs and loved feeding people! She loved the Buckeyes and the Browns and was usually the loudest one in the room cheering them on. There was never something she wouldn’t do to help anyone. She raised three incredible kids and has 10 beautiful grandchildren who will miss her more than words can express.
Thank you in advance for every bit will help during this tragic time.
