Dave Buhr Family Fire Recovery Fund

As some of you may have heard or seen last night, we had a bit of a bonfire in Paxton overnight. (excuse the humor, but at a time like this, it helps..) Anyway, one of our best friends (Dave Buhr) has lost his home and most likely all of his belongings in the house.

Right now, everyone is safe and comfortable, including his dogs. (In bit of shock but that is to be expected.) All that can be done right now is to wait for the insurance company to do their job and go from there.

Above and beyond that, there will be some need for him to get back to a normal routine. We don't know when that will be as he has some plans to try to be with his wife Maryury Buhr who is currently in her home country of Columbia. (Right now his head is in Paxton but his heart is in Columbia, S. America. He needs her just as much as anything else.)

We do not want to overwhelm him with too much as he has enough to think about. Let us take that burden on. We will do our best to make things comfortable for him while giving him time to do what he needs to do. We don't want to overwhelm him yet as we don't know what insurance will do for him but we need to be ready.

The outpouring of offers to help has been heartwarming.  At this time, money is the best gift, besides prayers, that we can give them.  This way they can purchase what they will need to rebuild thier home.
