Dave (Butch) Austin Family Medical Costs

I am setting up a fundraiser on behalf of the Austin family. Dave (Butch) Austin has dedicated his life to serving and teaching others. He retired from the Irving Fire Department in 2020 after many years of service. In 2019, he began serving the sick and injured as a fixed-wing pilot at CareFlite. Dave also served many years as a flight instructor teaching others to fly.

 

On January 4th, 2022, Dave was admitted to the hospital with complications from Covid. Over the next few weeks, Dave continued to decline and subsequently was placed on a ventilator. Dave fought a courageous battle, but unfortunately his lungs were just too damaged. February 15th, Dave passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is now free from his broken body and in his eternal Heavenly home.

 

This fundraiser is to help raise funds for medical deductibles and to help cover funeral costs. All donations will go directly to the Austin Family. Dave's family thank you for your support. Fly High Dave!
