Dave Chaves

Hello everyone. My name is Cara, im starting this fund for my life long friends Kathy and Dave Chaves. On May 2, 2017 Kathy and Dave's lives changed. Dave woke up from a nap, he was in extreme pain on his left side, he had numbness and as Dave descibed the worse headache of his life. Dave tried to get up off the couch and he fell onto the floor. Kathy rushed home from work, to find Dave on the floor, not able to move or stand up, she immediately called 911, he was rushed to a local hospital, where they determined Dave had a bleed in his brain, he was then transferred immediately to Brigham and Womens in Boston. BWH determined the bleed was affecting his right side of the brain, he also had some pressure building up as well. Daves blood pressure was extremely high, which needed to be controlled to get the bleed and pressure to stop, the Dr's then put an i.v. directly into his artery in his arm to help contol his blood pressure thru medicine. Dave has received many ct scans to make sure the bleed and swelling are staying stable, he needs to recieve many more scans and other tests to determine what exactly caused this, other than just high blood pressure, he remains in the I.C.U at BWH. Dave is making some progress, but has a long, long road to recovery ahead of him.Unfortunatley Kathy and Dave are now both out of work, which means they do not have a steady income coming into the home to pay all of there bills, not to mention all the medical costs of this unfotunate event. Everyone who knows Kathy and Dave, know that they are always the first ones to help out in anyway thay can. They are a fun, loving, caring, and most of all they have the BIGGEST hearts that you can imagine!! They have hit a bump in the road, and now they need our help more than ever.If you know Dave he is a strong willed guy, we know he will pull thru this and he will fight this and win!
