Dave Courtney Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund is in memory of Dave Courtney who passed away on December 14, 2022. In his 40+ years as part of the Quechee Community, Dave left an indelible mark, especially on skiing at Quechee. In 1987, while the director of the Quechee Ski Patrol (a position he held until 2018), Dave established the Quechee Ski Team to give local children the chance to learn how to ski race. He also lobbied for the ski team to become a member of the Vermont Alpine Race Association's mid-Vermont council. Today the ski team has 170+ athletes from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York all learning to love skiing as much as Dave and his family, wife, Claire, and their sons, Will and Jim do.

Dave’s family and the Quechee Ski Team have created the Dave Courtney Scholarship Fund to help Quechee Ski Team athletes with funds for team registration, racing entry fees, ski racing memberships, equipment and training opportunities.
