Dave Kline Fight Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Dave Kline is a one-in-a-billion man. He is a loving father and husband who is devoted to loving, providing for, and leading his amazing family. He is a devoted follower of Christ, spending countless days and hours laboring at the church; among his projects are painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, yardwork, flooring, installing cabinets, you name it, he’s done it. He’s also one of the funniest people you’ll meet, an avid science fiction fan, a chess enthusiast, and a local Age of Empires legend. For as long as I can remember, he has been a goofball and here's proof that some things never change:
Around November 2023, Dave developed a cough after performing renovations on flooring at the church. This cough lingered for several months until early February of this year when he began undergoing testing for the respiratory problems that he was facing. The tests found that he had cancer in his right lung. Despite this diagnosis, Dave continued making time to go to church and maintain and renovate the facilities. His dedication to God, his church, and his family, has remained unshaken in the face of this disease.
Dave and his family are selfless and have been a beacon of light in their church and community, regularly going out of their way to serve those around them. This is our opportunity to give back to a family who absolutely deserves it. If you are willing and able to make a donation to help fund Dave’s treatment, it would be greatly appreciated. We are hoping to raise $10,000, this should cover the deductibles and the remainder of treatment is expected to be covered by insurance.
If you are affiliated with the church and/or want to support via Venmo, feel free to send any donations to Lifeway Church’s Venmo @LifewayBaptist-Church with a note that it’s for Dave’s treatment and we will ensure that it gets to him.
Sunday April 7th was the last week that Dave will be able to spend with his church family in person as he starts his radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He will have to minimize any contact with the outside world due to his compromised immunity for at least 6 weeks.
We have set up a virtual board on a website called Padlet to share encouragement, scripture, videos, songs, pictures, drawings, memories, and anything else to keep Dave and his family in high spirits during this trying time. If you would like to share encouragement, you can follow this link: https://padlet.com/ngkline/DaveKline please leave your name or make an account so that they can see your support. To hear Dave and Chrissy talk more about his diagnosis and treatment you can watch this YouTube video:
Please continue to keep Dave and his family in your prayers, above all we know that God is good and that he will provide.
Thank you for your time and God bless you!
