Dave Sanders Memorial Highway

Dave Sanders was the hero teacher at Columbine High School who risked his life on 4/20/99 to save hundreds of students, he was one of the beloved people the Columbine community lost that day. This campaign is to raise private money to place signs to rename the stretch of C470 between Bowles and Platte Canyon the "Dave Sanders Memorial Highway". On May 2nd 2019, Colorado House of Representatives voted unanimously to allow this stretch of highway to be renamed and to allow the Colorado Department of Transportation to accept gifts, grants and donations for the placement of the proper signs. Signs will not be placed until the funds have been raised privately.
