Dave Schulte Family Fund
Donation protected
A peep on my team, Kim Schulte, lost her husband unexpectedly last Friday, July 26th and we are setting up this fund for folks to donate to Kim and Penelope, their 6-year-old daughter to help get things sorted out as they look towards the future. I personally have known Kim and Dave for almost 2 decades when we used to work at Fidelity together in the early 2000's.
Dave was a great guy for those that were not fortunate enough to know him personally. A native of the northeast, he was an avid New England sports fan who was always supportive of his teams on their way to multiple championships across the board, being sure to rib anyone rooting for the opposition. Very sarcastic by nature Dave always had a great joke or a comeback that got everyone around him laughing.
Dave was also all about his family. He met Kim when they were just "kids", fell in love and then they were married after college. They moved from NH to Apex, NC for work, bought a house and lived the dream with their 2 dogs. Then in 2013, they welcomed into the world sweet, little Penelope and she immediately became the apple of his eye. He would do anything for that little girl and they were buddies, going on father/daughter adventures everywhere, always instilling in her to do what she set her mind to and do not worry about what other people say or think (unless it was her mother).
Dave will definitely be missed by those that knew him and now I hope also by a few that may not have. The world will still continue to go around and around but it definitely has lost some glimmer to it now.
If you feel inclined to contribute to this fund to help our fellow Ulti-peep, Kim and their daughter Penelope work to figure things out without Dave, please do so but if nothing else, make sure to hug your family an extra time and tell them you love them!
