Dave Snyder

Hi, I am Melissa Harlow a long time friend of Dave's wife Leanna Snyder. We initially started a meal train with the option for donations and over the past few days a lot has happened with Dave and we felt GoFundMe would be a better platform to raise funds to help alleviate some expenses ( Medical Bills, unpaid leave.)

As many of you know my husband Paul Harlow and Dave went out for a ride on their motorcycles on the beautiful day of July, 23rd. Dave was going around a corner and hit a patch of gravel, he was thrown from his bike and suffered four broken ribs ,left shoulder broke in twelve places, right thumb dislocated that needed surgery and a laceration on the spleen.

After a week of being in the hospital with one surgery behind him , Dave was discharged and sent home to recover with the help of PT and his lovely wife Leanna. We were positive that Dave was on the road to recovery.

August 1st, I received an urgent text from Leanna telling me that Dave was in severe pain, turning pale and his lips were white. She had rushed him to St. Joseph's where he underwent another CT scan and that was when they discovered his spleen had ruptured and he would need to be flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery to have his spleen removed. The surgery went well and come to find out his spleen had ripped into three pieces. Once Dave was awake after surgery he was complaining of the same pain ( if not worse). Doctors and nurses were clueless as to why his pain was so bad. After four hours of nonstop pain needs and X-rays, Dave was given an epidural for pain plus round the clock pain meds which seems to be taking the edge off.

Today, Dave seems to be doing the best he can given what he has been through the last 24 hours. The doctor is now concerned about his pancreas and is being watched closely.

We will keep everyone updated as we know.

I know Leanna and Dave would never ask for anything unless they were in dire need. If you are able to donate they would be forever grateful.
