Dave Stanton Fundraiser

As some of you know on June 26 while at work, Dave collapsed due to injuries brought on by a brain aneurysm. It goes without saying this was an abrupt and startling surprise to everyone in his life. He was life flighted to iowa city where he underwent an emergency operation to save his life but after the fact suffered from seizures and at this point his friends and family are anxiously waiting for him to regain consciousness and begin his healing journey. With respect to his privacy and dignity, that is as descriptive of an update that we can share at this time. Now for the good, his better half Gail has been by his side through this whole process. So far Dave has been beating the odds that are very much stacked against him and the next 3 months give or take will be very testing for him and may decide the course of the rest of his life. He has a long road ahead of him and Gail along with all of his SO brothers and family will be there for him every step of the way. We are asking that, if you can, please help lessen the financial burden in the coming months for Dave so that once he comes to, he can focus on healing and as the breadwinner of his household have one less thing to worry about. He would be too proud to ask himself and probably have some choice words for us for doing this, but we know he will appreciate it as will Gail in the challenging months to come. Dave is anything but a quitter, and we are hopefull that he will recover soon. Just the odds that he is still with us are remarkable and scary to think about.
