David Thomas - Princeton Junction-Atlanta - ALS
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tim Hetzel and I want to help my long-time friend, Dave Thomas, who has recently been stricken with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and so far has proven to be an incurable, rapidly progressing motor neuron disease that compensates for motor skills. He is a warrior and determined to reverse this unbearable disease that has affected him mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Dave is 56 years old and the father of three children who are all in college. He has lost all function in his left arm and hand and cannot control his tongue making it extremely difficult to talk and eat and swallow. His muscles constantly twitch all day long. He has no appetite and has lost a significant amount of weight and strength. He has been helping his elderly parents, one who is fighting his own battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Heis a super genuine person and didn’t want me to set this page up for him but I insisted. He still has a zest for life and is determined to beat this disease. He has a sense of humor and a passion to call attention to this disease which does not get a lot of attention like cancer and other chronic/terminal diseases.
He is working on a charity designed to draw attention towards a cure. I plan to eventually tie that charity into this effort but in the meantime, we need to get the fund page going to provide financial support for Dave as his medical bills and other bills have reached an unmanageable level.
Please join me in this fight for Dave. No donation is too small. I will support him for as long as it takes and want you to join me. God bless and thank you for your time and consideration.
Please give Dave a call if you can. That would mean a lot to him.
Tim.
