In Memoriam - Dave Toman
Donation protected
Dave Toman was a man who lived every day with exuberance and excitement. His spirit still shines bright in our minds and his impact on so many people's lives continues to be felt. He was a beloved son to Gary and Judith and a protective older brother to Sarah. He was a loving companion of Kate and an incredible friend to many people, from his days growing up on Rodman Street, to his time working at the Lombard Swim Club all the way to his years at St. Joe's Prep and the University of Delaware.
Sadly, Dave passed away too soon at the age of 20 in November of 1996, leaving his family and friends without the joy of life that he brought with every ounce of his being.
For many years since, Dave had a memorial bench in Rittenhouse Square, a special place where he loved to be and where his friends and family could go and remember the good times. However, we recently found out that his bench is to be retired due to age. The Friends of Rittenhouse Square have initiated a Bench Fundraising campaign where the bench will be removed and replaced. We would like to replace this with a new memorial bench for Dave but need to raise $10,000 to make this happen. This campaign will make our dream a reality. Anything above and beyond our goal will be donated in his name. Please help us make this a reality!
