Coach Yates Brain Cancer Battle Fund

Donation protected
May is Brain Cancer Awareness month, and for many of us, we suddenly find ourselves far more aware than we thought possible. Dave’s diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme came as a massive shock to the Yates family, and as a community, we continue to look for ways we can help. There are  many amazing stories from random acts of generosity to families coming over to do landscaping for the Yates. All of this has major impact on freeing them to remain focused on taking care of Dave and each other.

Fremd High School and all of Palatine’s surrounding communities -many from the basketball community Dave is so known in- rallied around the Yates Family at Coach Yates Hoopsfest which took place on May 21st at Fremd High School.

Through the generosity of district 211, the hard work of the Fremd Athletic department and over 130 volunteers, we accomplished our goal of putting together an amazing day to honor Dave and his family.

In spite of the success that Hoopsfest was, the reality is the need for prayers, well wishes, and support is far from over.  Please visit Dave Yates Give In Kind page to leave your encouraging thoughts and to follow their progress through this fight.

Thank You.
