David Landau To Kick Cancer's Butt

When your friend calls you and tells you he has cancer, what do you do? 

Well, you can support him in words, by telling jokes, reliving past memories, and telling him how strong he is and how much you admire his courage. 
You can support him in "body" by being there for him when he needs a ride, when he needs someone to listen or when he just needs someone to sit with. 
You can be there in spirit, sending him encouraging text messages, emails, and Social Media posts. 
However none of it feels like it is enough, even when he tells you it is and more.

So when my friend Dave Landau got diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer .  I decided to help him in deeds.  Because words, body and spirit did not seem enough!

He will beat this, but it is going It's going to be a long fight.  He has to go through Radiation, Chemo, Surgery, the whole thing.  And I thought that my torn ACL was bad when he took me home from surgery years ago!  I want to return the comfort he gave me through that ride home, when he let me know everything would be ok, by letting him know that everything will be ok.

Although he is more fortunate than many because he has insurance, he could really use help with expenses. They add up quickly when you are going to the doctor all the time.  His treatment will eventually put him into unpaid leave.  Thankfully his job will be secure; however he will stop earning a paycheck after running out of vacation and sick time.

All monies raised will go straight toward treatment and treatment expenses.  No donation is too small, as $5 will cover a days worth of parking at the U of A Cancer Center . 
Cancer not only affect your health, but it affects your finances too.  This will cost my friend somewhere between $5,000 and $15,000.  And funding above what he needs to get through this will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
