Dave's Metastatic Lung Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amber Raymer. My father, David Raymer, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer on May 24th, 2022. I'm starting this fundraiser to help fund the cost of his treatment and other related medical expenses. My dad has been seeking a diagnosis since November of 2021. If you are willing and able to help, every single penny would be helpful to our family.

"When I was 8, I joined the girls 10-13 soccer league. I was terrified, but my parents encouraged me to give it a shot. On my first ever goal on that team, my father immediately started screaming, threw the camera up in the air and missed the shot because he couldn't contain his excitement. That enthusiasm was the same at every game and practice. Upon joining a different soccer team that didn't push us enough, my dad offered to be the coach instead. Every recital we had, our parents were there listening to every out-of-tune note as if we were in Juilliard and always met us with a bouquet of flowers. Our dad stored every piece of art and card that we have ever given to him in a bin for safekeeping. Anything we loved, he supported and then some. Our parents have always been like this. There's a reason I'm daddy's girl. I wouldn't be the woman I am today without such a supporting father." - Amber Raymer (youngest daughter)

"I’m not the greatest with words, especially lately. But if there’s anything I can say, it’s that my dad is my hero. There has never been a time where I was in need that he didn’t drop everything and try to help or support in any way possible. Always willing to give the shirt off his back for his friends or family. He’s the best man I know and we are so very lucky to have him." - Coral Raymer (eldest daughter)

"How do you put a life into a paragraph? David is an incredibly kind, loving and generous man. He is my soul mate and love of my life. He is a devoted husband (31 years, 33 together) and father to two amazing, beautiful and intelligent daughters, who he would drop everything for. He would do anything for "his three girls" to ensure our happiness, including taking a back seat. He is happiest and most fulfilled when his family is together in our home and enjoys listening to the chatter and laughter. He is quick whitted and funny and puts everyone around him at ease. He would and has literally given people the shirt off his back. He would give his last dollar to someone who truly needed it. He's a great friend. Someone who will be there for you in your brightest and darkest of days. He has been there at bedside seeing other friends lose their battle with cancer, so he knows all too well where this road leads, but he's a fighter and will do everything within his power to kick cancer's ass!" - Cheryl Raymer (wife)
