Dave’s pancreatic cancer
Donation protected
To say Dave means the world to me is an understatement, and the people who care about him are innumerable. I’m setting up this page as a way to allow people to support him if they wish, but also as a way to share his news.
2-1/2 years ago Dave was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he was told it was inoperable, that it was spread throughout all his
organs, he was asked did he want the chaplain to come in. We were devastated, we had no idea he had cancer, that his life would take such a dramatic change. He ended up having his gallbladder removed, it was agitating the pancreas. then we started chemo to shrink the cancer, so they could operate to remove the cancer.
Dave has endured everything that his medical team has put him through. Very aggressive chemotherapy, the highest doses of radiology his body could handle. He has ended up in the ER several times, endured many fevers over 103. He had the Whipple surgery in MARCH 2020, where they removed his pancreas, spleen, more than half of his stomach, and some arteries had to be rerouted. It was a very tough surgery. He has not given up even though it has been so hard on his body. The cancer has spread to his lungs, abdomen, liver. So we were doing chemo to kill it . He is a fighter. Our oncologist has told us recently that he doesn’t think Dave should do chemo anymore, he said the chemo is killing the cancer but it’s killing Dave too. that it is quality of life, not quantity. He wants Dave on hospice. Dave doesn’t want to give up his fight. We are praying, asking god for a miracle, we are not giving up. For now we are not doing chemo because He has no energy, needs assistance to stand up. Or do most things. It is hard to watch my once strong husband depend on me for almost everything.
I request, all of you to please contribute and help with any amount you can contribute so that we can provide support in these tough times. And help out with the Hospice. Dave isn’t 65 yet so he doesn’t have Medicare. My insurance is picking up 90 % of the hospice , so we are
Picking up the rest which
Is $30 a day / $900 a month.
We also have other expenses. And would like to have our girls come visit Dave. He wants to see his grand babies.
I am asking Please will you share this among your families and friends. Also, will you please continue to pray for Dave
I will be grateful to all of you for your kind efforts. Thank You!!
