Davey Williams End of Life Expenses
Donation protected
In November 2021, Davey Williams began showing undiagnosed symptoms of what turned out to be a terminal brain tumor. Davey passed away on July 20, 2022, but there are many financial needs to be met. This very unexpected diagnosis has created a financial hardship for Davey, his immediate family, and his close caregivers. Davey's basic medical needs have been covered through the state medicare system, however, his living expenses, including rent, food, and clothing needs, as well as that of his full-time caregivers, were unable to be met. Travel expenses for his family from Texas to visit Davey in California were steep and will continue to be so for his celebration of life. During his diagnosis, Davey was unable to work, and his caregivers also had to frequently miss work because of their priority to take care of Davey. If this weren't enough, the owner of Davey's home has notified his roommate Aaron that she will not be renewing their rental agreement because she would like to move back into the house in October. Davey's family and caregivers need help to cover his debts, pay for his celebration of life, cover moving and storage expenses, and be able to find a financial resolution to the last eight months, which has been a devastatingly difficult time.
We're asking for a starting goal of $5000, but we recognize that this will really just scratch the surface. We're hopeful that all of those whose paths crossed with Davey through the years will be able to make a small contribution. Any donations will be used to cover Davey's living expenses and those of his caregivers over the last several months, as well as moving and storage expenses of Davey's belongings. Any leftover donations will be donated to a local women's shelter in Davey's name, a cause very near and dear to his heart.
