Hello family and friends

This message is from Carmen Darling (nana) Carmen Jnr, Jazmyn, Mikaela, Ricky and Trinity

We just want to say thank you for all the wonderful messages and condolences to our family, we hope to get back to yous when things have settled.

As you are all aware our father David Darling passed away suddenly on Friday 28 July 2023, leaving behind a wife, house, 10 children and 4 children under the age of 5.

My father as you would all know dad helped a lot of people throughout his life, he worked full time from the age of 18 and raised and looked after all his kids, he was a hands on loving father, a jokster and he was an incredible man.

My father always went without through his life, his kids always had the best of everything and he didn’t mind to walk around in a shirt he bought 7 years ago and wear the same socks with holes in them as long as his kids were happy he was happy jumping around with the best of everything.

He’s dealt with a lot of challenges in his life, he was very sick for the past 8 years but he still worked everyday of his life and came home and loved his babies up until the day he lost his life.

My favourite memory of my dad was when he found a child leaning over in a croc infested bank and he fell in the rocks in Arnhem Land, my dad without hesitation jumped into the rocks and saved the young boys life but that’s just who our father was - he would do anything for anybody and he would risk his life for not only his own kids but for anybody in need.

He was our best friend and the one that always made us laugh.

Today, for the first time in our lives our family is asking for some help to put our dad to rest and have funds for food, accomodation, flights and ensure our beautiful dad has the best send off that he deserved.

Any amount will help our family get through this hard time.
