David Backstrom Story

Hi, my name is Douglas Brown. On behalf of my good friend and brother in Christ, I am reaching out to raise funds on behalf of David Backstrom.

About Dave Backstrom:

David has dedicated his life to helping people who are in difficult and desperate situations. Dave is a part of a much-needed ministry called U-Turn for Christ, for the past ten years. U-Turn for Christ helps Men who are battling with drug addictions, abuse, gambling, theft…………Many of these individuals have no family support and are facing potential jail time.

Dave helps assist the “U-Turn For Christ” ministry with the goal of teaching individuals to be independent, self-supporting, and stable under the Lordship of Jesus Christ by becoming an asset to their family, church, friends, employers, schools, and society.

What happened:

Dave makes his living as an independent Handy Man. However, due to some health issues and vehicle problems, Dave had been struggling to pay his rent and had to move into a converted ambulance out in the desert. The ambulance serves as his place to live and his only transportation.

*If you were to ask David how things are going, he will always tell you he is “Blessed Beyond Belief”, that’s just the kind of man Dave is. Dave would never ask for a handout.

Why funds are needed:

The goal of raising funds for David Backstrom is to help Dave with a reliable truck and a trailer home to live in. A truck is needed to provide transportation to his ministries and provide a means for his income as a handyman. Some sort of camper or trailer will help provide Dave with a livable situation: heat, running water, shower, stove…….etc.
