David Barthman Vietnam Veteran Fire Flagstaff AZ

Hello. I am Cindy Garcia.

I am raising funds for David Barthman, a 74 year old Vietnam Veteran who is a victim of the Tunnel fire in Flagstaff Arizona. He has lost everything he owns, including his Service medals. I am his neighbor and friend for 23 years.

He had been living in my small guest house while trying to rehab the house on his property. The rehab had not been completed. He is living in my home while we are working hard to make his home habitable!

We live in a relatively small town and the support has been overwhelming to this Vietnam Veteran who... wasn't treated very well when returning from the war.

To the point...

He had made the decision to take a chance and NOT pay his Homeowners Insurance so that he can afford a wood stove to heat his home. Then the Tunnel fire happened. That's right... NO INSURANCE.

While our wonderful community has provided so much to help this Vietnam Veteran out of this horrible situation... I would like to try to go one step further... to restore his faith in humanity.

We would like to complete the repairs that had not yet been completed to the his home to make it livable.

Any help we can get would be greatly appreciated!
