If I Should Go
By Joyce Grenfell
If I should go before the rest of you
Break not a flower nor inscribe a stone
More when I'm gone speak in a Sunday voice
But be the usual selves that I have known
Weep if you must
Parting is hell
But life goes on
So sing as well.
It is difficult to accept that such a bright light has been dimmed. Dave lost his battle with addiction which is not a battle for the faint of heart, but Dave's life should not be defined by addiction. He clearly impacted so many lives through friendship, love of music and dancing and anything that could happen at a campfire. Dave was a hard worker who always had the energy to help a person in need. He will be remembered most for his smile which spoke volumes.
The Bickford family and friends are hoping for financial support to cover funeral and other final expenses. They are hoping to raise 5K by 2/15. Tracie Bickford will be in charge of final expenses.
