David Brink Memorial Fund

As you all now know, our dearest friend Mr. David L Brink passed away on June 29th, 2019.  Rather unexpectedly.

For those who know David you know him to have a huge heart – his main drive was to help others.

Both David and Melody (his wife) have been active  in their Church for decades with the sole goal of helping individuals lead better and happier lives and in making this a better world. Hundreds of people who they have helped would attest to how their lives were touched and the better for Melody and David having been there for them.

As a team, David took on the role of sole breadwinner so that Melody could devote her efforts to staff  full time.

It was his desire to support this – sort of a ‘divide and conquer”; David would bring home the bacon enabling Melody to save lives full time.   And, being that he was an energizer bunny – he also worked at the Church in the evenings, because helping people meant so much to him.  It was a perfect way to support and create the things that mattered to
him the most.

Their one downfall:  David had the idea that he was going to live forever.  Sometimes a big spirit in a strong body thinks that way, so no judgement, please.  But this means there was nothing planned for their future, financially.

His sudden demise has caught up Melody, very short and to support herself at the moment with her  humanitarian work is not to be enough.  Our community has rallied around her and there are some great solutions on the horizon, so she won’t need long term support.

BUT, she is  going to need a little time to reorganize her whole life and put things in order and get onto her feet without David.

Bottom line:  She needs some $$  back up to buy time to get this sorted out and put into place.

She is so very valuable in our community – if there is anything the ghost of David will be worried about and will not rest in peace about is “how is Melody going to get by without me?”

Well, she is a very capable woman and it will work out -  but the facts are that it does take a bit to re-organize a life when the primary source of energy is suddenly gone.

So in memory and love for David and for friendship, love, honor and care for our Melody -  please consider a donation at this time.
