HELLO TO ALL WHO KNOW AND LOVE DAVID,

What more can we say about cancer, an invasive monster that has taken hold of his body like wildfire in just three months? We had been given hope last year after six weeks of chemo and radiation when the doctors then said "we can't find the tumor".

Hurricane Ian displaced us from our first home in Florida in September. While we were moving to another county, we received the results of his latest PET scan and we knew we were now facing a different reality.

David has been in and out of hospitals since the hurricane. He has had a life-saving procedure to prevent him from dying from liver failure. An oncologist who specializes in his type of cancer has started him on chemo to extend his time with us but this is just palliative treatment as we know there is no cure for this.

We have just switched his health insurance to a more Dr. user-friendly one where continuity of care will be easier, the authorizations will go through quicker with no delay in treatment like before. We have a $6000 deductible to meet so all expenses will be out of pocket until then.

His chemo treatments alone will far exceed anything the family can come up with. He also has pain management, neurology, physical therapy and everything else that goes along with trying to keep him comfortable and strong enough for treatment. He has several bulging discs in the spine along with cancer that's metastasized to his spine preventing him from lying flat for the needed radiation treatment so he requires other specialized treatments before he can get the radiation.

The family is asking for any donation you can spare to assist in his care and comfort. We all know that he is a special man, who is fighting for his life. Thank you in advance. He will be so grateful.
