David Domin Medical and Living Expenses

The friends and family of David Domin of Avon, CT have joined together to help during his fight against cancer.

In January 2021 David was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Shortly thereafter he underwent surgery to remove a lime- sized tumor in his colon as well as 26 lymph nodes of which five were cancerous. The surgery to remove the tumor and lymph nodes led to a bacterial infection in the stomach, landing him in the hospital for a week. The cancer has spread to the liver and stomach lining as well as other lymph nodes that have not been removed.

David currently receives chemotherapy treatments every other week for forty eight hours. He has had ten treatments to date with four more scheduled. His first CT scan shows the cancer is shrinking and not spreading. He is currently waiting on the results of his most recent scan. While thankfully he has responded well to treatment, and God willing will keep ahead in his fight for a long time, future treatments and possible surgeries to remove the cancer are on the horizon.

David and his wife Ellen are doing everything they can to stay positive and keep moving forward. However, with only one income and limited insurance, the costs are fast exceeding the income.

The battle against cancer takes its toll on every aspect of the life of those battling it and everyone around them. The battle had started to turn in David's favor with minimal traces of cancer being recorded after years of treatment and multiple surgeries, to the point he was able to take a break from treatment. However the tests have now indicated cancer has returned to his lymph nodes and treatments will begin again for the next several months.

They are now stretched beyond their financial means with expenses

far higher than their single income. They are struggling to afford anything beyond groceries and will quickly fall behind on all other expenses, especially their utilities.
