Support David Douek's Wife & Daughters
Donation protected
David (Dave) died a year ago, on April 7th, 2023, in a motorcycle accident on Hutchinson Parkway in New Rochelle.
Dave was a pillar in the NYC regional motorcycle community. He held a leadership role in New York Classic Riders (NYCR) and an organizational role in the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride (DGR). He organized and led rides on a regular basis, was generous with his time, and was encouraging to newer riders. He was a community builder wherever he went.
The baby he was expecting at the time of his death is now 8 months old. She is named after her father (Davina) and is living up to his loquacious personality with her constant chatter. Their older daughter, Leora, is the extroverted "mayor" of her kindergarten class, also in Dave's footsteps.
Dave's most valuable legacy are the relationships and communities he cultivated. Upon his death, I (Dave's wife) put out a wide call for support and I have been overwhelmed by the response I've gotten from the riding community in particular. Thank you for being an active part of this network, just by reading our story, and thank you for any donation you may offer. Funds will help support us (his wife, daughter, and new baby) during this time. The money is going directly to me, David's wife, and will be used to cover childcare expenses while I transition back to the workforce and become more self-supporting.
