David Eaton Memorial Fund

David Andrew Eaton, age 26, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Carterville, IL. He was born on May 9, 1995 in Arlington, TX to William Kent and Bibi Eaton.

 

He has been a kind-hearted loving son and brother, full of adventure, bringing joy to those around him. He has been compassionate, generous and loves his Savior Jesus Christ.

 

David enjoyed being a Carterville Lion, playing football and basketball through his high school years. He was a member of FCA, Beta Club, FBLA, SWLC and LifeSavers. He enjoyed watersports with his brothers and friends. He also loved snowboarding, weight training, and recently took up bow hunting. David was adventurous. He visited 24 countries by the age of 24.

 

David enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. He was a firm believer in the Lord and came to faith as a young boy. He was strong in his Christian walk and loved to talk in depth about the scriptures. He continued to seek God’s direction and leadership in all things. Church fellowship and Bible study fueled his desire to fulfill the Great Commission. David enjoyed traveling with church youth groups on mission trips, Passion Conference, Super Summer, RA and FCA camps.

 

He worked for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in St. Louis, MO. David served in the U.S. Air Force from 2014-2018 at Kadena Air Base, Japan and Ramstein Air Base, Germany. David received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from SIUC in 2020. He began a Master’s program in 2021 at SIUC. He excelled in computer information systems receiving letters of commendation and accolades from his USAF commanding officers.

Services will be held Monday, April 25 at 10am at Ava Missionary Baptist Church.
