David Estevez

This Go Fund Me Page is established in honor and loving memory of David Estevez.

David was called home on September 12, 2022. He will be remembered for his ability to find the positive in any difficult or challenging situation. He defined, and redefined, the word warrior.

As some of you may know, David was diagnosed at three years old with Wilms Tumor. As an infant, and after the loss of a kidney, David lived 15 years cancer free to the absolute fullest. He played baseball until his senior year of high school. In July of 2020, David relapsed. Since that day, he continued to show how selfless, strong, and determined he was to not only fight but keep those he loved positive. He never showed his pain or struggles in an effort to keep those he loved as positive as he truly hoped things would be. To know him was to love him and to watch him live life was a joy for every second.

David fought hard for the past two years. In and out of the hospital for chemotherapy, radiation, and most recently, a clinical trial. Despite every challenge, David was enrolled at FIU and just started his junior year.

His time with us will never be enough, but his legacy and spirit will live with us forever. His legacy will be his love for life, his strength, his kind heart, his style, and not to mention, his fantasy football wins and losses.

In lieu of flowers, the Estevez family kindly requests a donation in David's honor. All proceeds will go to support families who are experiencing a battle similar to David's and facing financial difficulty.
