"Devastating is a gross understatement. Our hearts are shattered. My kids are destroyed. My son especially. This has left a gaping hole in our family.

It’s like being punched in the gut over and over again. It’s too much to bear. I’m not sure how I’ll go on. Yet, I have to and know that I will for our babies. He was everything to us.

My best friend, my love. We were never legally married but we considered ourselves so. He was everything a husband is and so much more. Nobody will ever love me like he did. Ever. He loved every part of me. He would do anything for me. And I will love him forever.

There wasn’t a funnier guy on the planet. Not in my world. And his heart was massive. He loved his family and his friends with everything he had. If you had the privilege of being loved by Dave, then you know exactly what I’m saying. We were so lucky to have him. "

As any human can relate, losing a loving partner and father is a nightmare and an extreme financial hardship. In addition to funeral costs, this family has to budget for the start of school and month-to-month living expenses. David and Jess believed their children came first and above all else.
