David finish his journey

Hi .. my name is Louise and I'm doing this for my good friend David .

David weighed 29st 8lb and his weight was not only killing him physically but emotionally too, so he took the brave step to join slimming world in March of 2023. He worked so hard every day to lose an amazing 13 st 5lb !! Here is where the story really begins . He has been refused any kind of help from the NHS to remove the huge amount of excess skin that he now carries . This is affecting him mentally in a much worse way than being overweight. He hates how he looks in the mirror, struggles to form a relationship because of the way he looks . David told me today he "would rather be fat" and that he would rather risk a heart attack than to carry on feeling this way. It breaks my heart as he is such an inspiration.. so kind and generous with a really sweet nature but he's withdrawing into himself at a time when he should feel amazing . He had a quote for surgery which is way out of his reach so I'm holding out the begging bowl for anyone who feels in their heart to help him finish this journey he so bravely started . Any donation will mean the world to him . X

Since posting this David has had a consultation for procedures that amount to £7200 ... so the fundraiser goal has reduced in line with this .
