Help Dave Heckman Recover from Open Heart Surgery

David is a tremendously generous, big-hearted person who now has some costly heart problems of his own. He needs our help as he faces down enormous medical bills and time off work to recover from open heart surgery and a long hospital stay.

This is Nicole & Tammy. We are David's sisters and are asking for your help on behalf of him and our family.

David is only 54 and had a heart attack on Saturday. Heart disease runs in our family and is what took our father from us two years ago. We were relieved that David's attack was relatively mild but then devastated to learn that he has a large, unstable aortic aneurism that requires open heart surgery. It is a complex and serious surgery with an extended hospital stay afterwards. The hospital bills will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. He works in a commission-based job and will be out of work for quite a while, not to mention the time he is currently missing. His job does not offer benefits - no paid time off, no disability coverage.
