David & Jaimie Wedding wish & creating memories

Hello there I am Ele.

My younger sister and her partner have been spending the last couple of years planning their dream wedding at Falkland Estate, Fife. There was much excitement with their 2 beautiful girls and the family over what was meant to be the most special day of their lives. And a long time coming for them as a family.

Earlier in the year David fell ill, and was sent for various tests, which have now came back with a Terminal diagnosis of Cancer, and a prognosis of several months left to live.

He is now currently undergoing radiation therapy at Edinburgh Western General hospital and has been there for the last month, to try and extend the time he has.

Due to complications with maintenance operations, he is separated from his family most of the time( 5/6 days a week), apart from occasional home visits for family occasions, such as the first day of school for their youngest and 15th birthday for their eldest.

Due to the diagnosis, David and Jaimie had to cancel their enchanted forest wedding for next August, meaning they have lost deposits from suppliers. But since then Jaimie has obtained permission to use a local woodland for their ceremony in their hometown of Ceres, Fife.

This event is to take place October 22nd 2022. using the woodland and the local village hall, they are keen to use these local spaces to keep things personal to them and their family.

I have decided to set up this fundraiser to help my baby sister and her fiancee create some special memories with their children, have the wedding they deserve and show both of them how much they are loved.

The funds will go towards catering costs, assistance with the wedding and making memories that will last a lifetime for us all around him. They are keen to spend some quiet time away in the highlands with Jaimie and the family in a motorhome, to go exploring and find some quiet.
