David worked in some of the finest restaurants in the southeast, and alongside some of it’s finest chefs. Chef David’s skills set and culinary imagination were creative, inspired, and delicious. His talents were eagerly sought after from his entrance onto the culinary scene in 2015.
Chef David interned at the Clifton Inn, then interned and was later employed as a line cook at the renowned FIG restaurant in Charleston, SC. In 2017 he was hired as the Sous Chef at “Tavern and Grocery” in Charlottesville, Virginia before joining the staff at Field and Main restaurant in Marshall, Virginia. Most recently Chef David served as the Sous Chef at Selvedge in Charlottesville.
David passed recently and tragically at the young age of 28. Friends and family alike are devastated by the loss of such a gifted and inspiring man.
Out of support for his family and loved ones, and to honor him, a scholarship is being created in David's name for future students of the culinary arts at The NCC.
