David Lennick needs your help!

David Lennick is one of Canada’s preeminent broadcasters , a music and radio historian, an award-winning record producer, and a preservationist. If you love old time radio or classic pop music from the first half of the 20th century, chances are you have seen David’s name in album liner notes (over 3,000 albums!), or listened to rare pieces of broadcasting history archived, digitized, and made available by David’s tireless work in preserving our cultural heritage.

 

David and his wife, Donna, have recently taken a big financial hit in the form of an unexpected “renoviction,” a term one hears far too often these days in Canada’s unhinged housing market.

 

Every dollar of theirs is tied up with rent in their temporary home, and in storage units containing their lifelong possessions, which are all in imminent danger of being sold off.

 

And the dollars are quickly dissipating. David and Donna need some temporary help from their friends, family, and online communities so they can continue to have a roof in these frigid Canadian winter months, and to pay for their necessities.

 

They have explored every other possible avenue; certain emergency funding bodies have not proven helpful yet, and long wait times and red tape could be personally catastrophic in an already dire situation.
