David, Liz Martella lost home, Oak fire Mariposa

Hello Everyone,

My Name is Niki Cook, This is very difficult to write. My mom Liz Martella and her husband David Martella and some of my siblings lost everything in the massive Oak fire that devastated our home town of Mariposa CA. They left behind 5 vehicles, a cabinet shop that had supported them since before Covid. During covid David got really sick and was sent to Modesto in critical condition. During this time thier funds deplenished so they currently have no insurance on the shop or on thier home. Living only off of his security from government. ALSO the house was destroyed, it was famously dome shaped he built with his own hands with help of friends. They lost bare necessities such as clothes, food, bathing, and special care needs items. Plus soo much more there was children and babies living there was well so all of thier comfort items and toys and all of their supplies gone. There's so much more than that just gone. I don't wish this on anyone and it's happening to my family and it hurts. So please anything helps!! Im eternally great full for whatever any of you can do for them in this devastating time. I know they're not the only ones effected by this massive fire but they're in dire need and can't really believe this has happened they're still in shock, so that's why I took it upon myself to help so they have 1 less thing to worry about in this time. They're heart broken and just trying to survive.
