David Marshall “Dave The Tank” - Medical Bill Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brandi Marshall. I’m David Marshall’s wife. After praying on it and trying to figure out if we could make ends meet while paying for hospital bill’s & co pays, I have made the hard decision to create this account to help raise funds so we are not struggling. Please understand that we personally do not like asking for hand outs, creating this account was our last resort. In our situation we had no other choice. Please take a moment and read our story below to understand why we are raising funds for my husband ♥️
On the night of Thursday, July 28th, 2022. David was on his way home and had a horrible motorcycle accident. It took the ambulance 15 minutes to arrive to the scene. David was declining on his way to shock trauma. When he arrived to shock trauma they put him in a induced coma to do open surgery and remove his spleen, so now he is more prone to getting infections & will have difficultly fighting the infections. He also has a broken collar bone, 9 broken ribs, a fracture scapula, his left lung have collapsed & a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He has memory loss, having difficulty concentrating as well as memory loss and processing thoughts. My MIL have received paperwork yesterday & it stated that a preacher have prayed over David for 20 minutes before his surgery. I don’t think they knew if he was going to make it during that time. David fought so hard to wake up out of his come & to be stronger. The hospital sent him home 1 week later! As I told him in the hospital that he was a warrior, he said to me “I’m A Tank”!! That’s how he got his name “Dave The Tank”. We are very blessed that he is alive and have a second chance in life.
Now that we are home & have him under 24/7 care, his schedule is full of appointments.
He has follow up appointments with Shock Trauma every two weeks.
Physical therapy to help bring back his strength, occupational therapy because of short term memory loss. Speech therapy because he was slurring his words as he talked (3 separate appointments, 2 times a a week for 3 months).
Regular Therapy twice a month because he has emotional outbursts, so we got him help to get him through the trauma he’s been through.
Psychiatrist once a month because his brain injury have triggered his ADHD. His brain has been running like a motor so he talks a lot and can not focus on one conversation.
And also a primary care physician because he has high blood pressure that needs to be treated.
David may look fine on the outside but on the inside he has a long road to recovery. We are at a minimum 3 months out before he will be cleared to go back to work. It’s all unforeseen and only time can tell when he is 100% better. So right now we do not know when he will be able to return to work.
A lot of stress have been added to our plates. Trying to figure out how we are going to afford his high deductible from his insurance and the copays we have for his doctor appointments while also trying to make ends meet on our everyday regular bills.
We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers and we thank you in advance for your generous donation & prayers. ♥️
