DAVID McCLURE LOSES ALL IN MOBILE HOME FIRE
Donation protected
On November 3, my brother and a friend lost everything in a fire in the Spanish Lakes Mobile Home Community in Port St. Lucie, Florida and did NOT have insurance coverage. The fire was caused by an air conditioning window unit which apparently shorted out. David was not home at the time though his friend was-- who luckily escaped unharmed. We aren't sure but most likely he lost his long-time pet Sun Conure, Max. Red Cross gave him $300 which he has used for hotel which is $98 a night--a reduced rate to help him--but it's in season here in Florida and rents are crazy, $2600 a month furnished, but we may be able to get something for $1600 or thereabouts unfurnished-- But he would need first last and security = $4800? Buying is out of the question. He now has the hotel paid until Sunday 12.
They are both set for clothing, we just need shelter, a furnished or unfurnished room or apartment. Then we will gradually get him reset up. David is a good person and would help anyone if asked. He works at Lowe's where everyone loves him too! Please consider helping him restart his life at 65. He is obviously devastated. Prior to this home, David and our father/stepmother also owned another double wide mobile home in the same park that they lost during hurricanes Francis and Jeanne (weeks apart 2004) before this purchase. Believe it or not that was nothing compared to this Fire--only blew out the windows/part of roof-- but we still had belongings--he has nothing. Thank you for anything given even a small amount is helpful--and if you are not able to contribute monetarily that is fine--but please consider including David in your prayers. Thank you and God bless...
