David McDonough - Final Fundraising Effort

Donation protected
Great news!  David had successful neck surgery on Monday, March 2.  He will be in a neck brace for 6 weeks and unable to drive during that time.  The damage was more extensive than originally believed, so the recovery time is longer.  His new insurance covered a portion of the surgery which helps, but he still has a lot of expenses to take care of before he heals and can get back to work.  The first fundraising effort had a target of $2,000 to cover two months of insurance/food/misc expenses and was very successful resulting in raising $6,850.  Thank you so much for the generous contributions!  These funds went to the hospital initial payment ($2,600), 3 months insurance ($1875), industry license, food, medicine and misc doctor bills.  Remember, David has been incapacitated and unable to earn money for a long time.

The final phase of funding is to cover the following:

Car Repair $1,100
New suit and work clothes $1,100
Leisure Clothes $300
auto registration $100
2 months food $800
2 months health ins $1,250
2 months car insurance $300
Remaining hospital out of pocket max and doctor $7,500

Total $12,450

If you aren't able to contribute, please consider a visit to David.  Or a phone call or text.  He really enjoys the conversation.  It helps with his morale and spirit.  He has been living in near isolation for many months.
