In Memory of David Michael Byrd Jr.

It is with heavy, shattered hearts we share that David Michael Byrd Jr. passed away unexpectedly this Friday, January 31, 2025.

He is remembered with love by his parents, Sonja Byrd and David Byrd Sr.; his three children and their families: Son, Kalib Byrd, his wife Danielle Byrd and their children Alaina and Wayde; Daughter, Katelynne Byrd, her Partner Matthew Jadot and her sons Liam and Eli; Daughter, Joslynne Jones, her husband Ben Jones and their children Olivia, Brantley and Teagan; his wife Esperansa Byrd, her children Demetri and Brianna and her grandson Dominic; and his brother Matthew Byrd, wife Debbie Byrd and their children Colton and Makayla. He was preceded in death by his brother Nathan, grandson Emmett, and his grandparents.

David was born on October 17th, 1968 in St. Louis, MO. He was a lifelong resident of the St. Charles area. He graduated from Frances Howell High School in 1987. He was first in state in wrestling his Senior year. He went on to have a very successful career in Carpentry and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union for many years. He was a master craftsman and took pride in every job he did.

Describing a man like David is almost impossible to put into words. As a devout Christian, David was known as “The Preachin’ Carpenter” and loved to share the word of Jesus Christ. He was kind, humble, patient, dedicated, and a true Man of God.

We are grateful for his life and for the way he lived it so graciously and purposefully. Although he has now passed from this world, his spirit will live on forever.

A Memorial will be held for David at Baue Funeral Home in Cave Springs, MO. We will provide more details at a later time.

Due to the suddenness of his passing, in lieu of flowers, we are currently accepting donations to help with the finances of his Memorial arrangements.
