David Moore's Home Loss (Fire) Recovery Fund

On the early morning hours of April 8th, 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, lifelong Wolfeboro, NH resident, and our dear friend, David Moore, suffered the tragic loss of his longtime home on Pleasant Valley Road to fire. David was very fortunate to have been awoken in time to escape the flames with his life, though he did suffer smoke inhalation and minor burns. He is being monitored to make sure there are no lingering issues.

Anyone who knows David, who is all of 92 years old, knows him to have an unflappable zest for life, relentless work ethic (still), strong faith, and a smile for anyone crossing his path. David has endured a great deal of loss in his life, including the loss of his dear wife, Shirley, in recent years, and a son. David has now lost his entire home, the home he had shared with his Wife for many, many years. Along with it, he has lost the contents of his home, including his clothes, photographs, important papers, keepsakes, and virtually all his personal possessions that were inside the house.

Asking for help is not naturally part of who David Moore is. As a loved and well-respected member of the community, for over NINETY years, David is now in need of help from his home town and community. We understand that this an extremely dire time for people across the globe, and not all are in a position to offer a lot. That's ok. Any amount of monetary assistance you can contribute through this channel will be greatly appreciated by David, and will help get him through this especially vulnerable time.

Fund Organizers: Jason Ruff is David's great nephew. His grandmother, Jackie, is David's sister. He has been asked to assist with organizing David's affairs as related to this tragic event

Crystal Moore is David's loving granddaughter.

Kerry Struble grew up in Wolfeboro, NH, and has been a friend of the family for over 40 years. He currently resides in Effingham, NH and operates Birch Blaze Studios, a photography service, with his Wife, Taylor.
