David Nielsen- a Dinsmore Trucking Family Member

For those of you that have worked with Dave, you will know he has a big heart and an honest mind. Dave has been away from home for months at a time spending most of it in Colorado running unit 96. He offered to run loads from Idaho over the holidays to keep the guys moving east to make it home. On Christmas Day while at the Vulcan yard, Dave called saying he wasnt feeling well and was going to go to the Inn in the hope to feel better. He took a turn for the worse, Gail driving from northern washington to be with him. At the ER in Vulcan they explained to Dave that his kidneys have shutdown and that he could potentially have a ruptured appendix and infection was imminent. David and Gail are an instrumental part of the Dinsmore Trucking Family and they need are help. Dave being an American does not have health insurance coverage in Canada. The surgery has been estimated at 100k dollars which was completed last night. Dave is asleep in recovery at the Calgary Hospital at a cost of $3,000 dollars per day. Before Dave went to surgery he asked me if I thought they would let him pass away as he didnt want to financially burden his family.
I challenge all of us that were home for christmas surrounded by our friends and family to help support one of our own. One that was willing to work through the holidays so others could keep trucking.  No donation is too small or unappreciated for the Nielsen family.
