Support David Park with cancer treatment expenses

As some of you know, and many of you do not, David Park, beloved father, friend, mentor and teacher to many, has Stage 2 throat cancer.

David has been a teacher at the amazing humanistic school Play Mountain Place (PMP) for nearly 25 years. He has helped countless children and their families as a kind, compassionate, generous and beloved teacher. In addition, David has led many PMP boys groups throughout the years helping boys in a more personal, dynamic and sacred way. In the last few years David has begun meeting with groups of boys who are graduates of PMP continuing to empower and help them as they enter and are in the complicated and transformative teenage years navigating the threshold into becoming young men. He also has led a men's group for fathers at PMP so they are supported, uplifted and encouraged as well. David is an impassioned, generous, strong and gentle elder and mentor to many and has devoted his life to helping children.

David has Kaiser insurance and while it covers some of the expenses of cancer treatment, many things are not, or only partially, covered. The bills, even now just part way through his treatment, are starting to pile up. David would also love to seek alternative treatment, in addition to traditional western medicine, with Dr. Chilkov, a doctor recommended to him by many and who was used by another close friend with cancer with great success. Dr. Chilkov is not covered by insurance at all.

Please feel free to give what you are able and what is in your heart. David wasn't particularly fond of the idea of asking but as his family and loved ones we want to help and knew that others would too. In lieu of, or in addition to, a financial donation to help cover medical expenses feel free to reach out to David with words of support and love via the address below.
