Music and the live performances of it, will be especially important after all we have faced together through the COVID 19 pandemic and I want to be able to share my experience of Pembrokeshire with you. It would mean so much to be able to record and develop this work and I would hope many of you would be able to relate to the inspiration that is here within Pembrokeshire and share in this experience.
I have always dreamed of creating , recording and performing my music and for the last year since the beginning of Lock down I have started writing again inspired by trail running in the Pembrokeshire Landscape.
The funds will be used for helping towards the costs of producing my debut recording. Contributing towards recording studio fees, graphic design, art work, musicians fees and making the physical CDs.
The project has been gathering momentum over the last year and is ready to start recording with the first release due to be out this spring.
As the music is inspired by Pembrokeshire I aim to work within the local creative scene by recording this original material here in Pembrokeshire, collaborating with local film makers, graphic designers, musicians and artists. And most importantly eventually when allowed to do so performing this new material in many of the local venues and lost and found spaces within our community of Pembrokeshire.
As well as performing this new project locally I also aim to share my inspiration of Pembrokeshire through live performances of FINISTERRE to other rural and urban centres of the Uk. To help form new cultural relationships throughout the UK as well as exploring Europe and other International countries, which I feel will be so important in the future.
Pembrokeshire can often be described as cut off or the "end of the earth " which is where the title FINISTERRE partly comes from. In a literal physical sense Pembrokeshire could be seen as this but as times change through technology and our lifestyles also change, Pembrokeshire is starting to take a bold new development. Through creativity, innovation, technology and sustaining the environment that we live in. Pembrokeshire can have a very exciting future, looking forward to being creatively connected not just within Pembrokeshire itself but throughout the Uk, Europe and other international countries
Thank you for taking the time to read about my creative project. All donations no matter how small or large will mean so much to me and will all equally help towards developing my creative practice here in Pembrokeshire.
Hope to see you all in the near future and lets believe that at some point in time we will all be able to enjoy and share the experience of live music together once again.
Love and light,
David Pepper
