David Prescott

David Prescott, a friend and fellow volunteer at St Andre Bessette, is in need of short term financial assistance.

David struggled from early teens until age 50 with severe addiction. He’s been clean and sober for 10 years. His journey could easily fill a book... a very inspiring one. While in recovery, he completed his GED, his Associates Degree in addiction counseling , and became a member of the Portland tennis club. He has helped himself and many on the road to recovery through dedication to AA 12 step program and willingness to tell his story. He inspires many.

David supports himself as a Lyft and Uber driver. Two weeks ago, thieves in Portland severely damaged his car. While insurance provided him with a rental, mileage restrictions prevent him from using it for rideshare, so he's unemployed. Repairs to his vehicle will take until the end of June. He's found temporary employment but his earning power has taken a huge hit and bills are quickly stacking up.
